Lucie has pointed out to me that in my "summary" I included numbers of Acadians who were exiled but who did not go to Louisiana. She is correct because in 1763-1764 approximately 2000 Acadians went to Santo Domingo and most died by 1765-1766. The latest information available to Luice indicates that approximately 1500 Acadians went to Louisiana prior to the 1785 group from France and that the 1785 group was about 1600.
