One major problem with the militia lists that have been published re DAR/SAR membership is that there isn't any specific lists of those who actually fought under Galvez during the 1779 campaign. Some history books provide valuable information. For example, "They Tasted Bayou Water" has the names of those who went from the new settlement of New Iberia to Manchac in early 1779 to fight.
