Hi, Was wondering if anyone out there has access to Louisiana Census & Militia Lists 1770 - 1789 by Albert J. Robichaud, Jr. and could possibly do a lookup for me. I am looking for a listing for Joseph MICHEL. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Andy Scott

Hi Andy, Joseph is listed in the 17 Jan 1770 Militia Listing of the Second Company of the Coast of the Germans living at house number 37 on the right shore. He is age 35, married, and from Canada. Refer to page 74 of the Robichaux book. Additionally, according to the St John Parish Original Acts as translated and abstracted by Conrad, Joseph died 14 Jul 1783.
