    3. From Stephen A. White, Dictionnaire des Familles Acadiennes pages 1100-1103. Pierre, (s/o Alexandre Lord dit Lamontagne and Marie-Francoise Barrieau) was born/baptized at Port Royal 12 Dec. 1724/29 March 1725 (he had been given a private emergency baptism by Pierre Lanoue). The godfather was Pierre Doucet, son of Rene Doucet and the godmother was his sister Anne. He appears in documents of New York, 1763 and Champflore [Martinique], 1766. He married Elisabeth Martin (d/o Etienne and Marie-Jeanne Comeau) at Port Royal 30 Jan 1747. He was buried at St-Pierre de Martinique 24 Jan 1782 at age 51 (sic). This Pierre's children are not listed since his family will appear in the next part of the Dictionnaire. However, the first part covers his parents and 11 siblings as well as his grandparents, Julien Lord dit Lamontagne and Anne (Anne-Charlotte) Girouard and their nine children. His parents were married about 1701 and his grandparents about 1675. All of the families appear under the heading LORD (LAURE, L'OR) dit LAMONTAGNE No mention is made of a second marriage to Marguerite Leblanc and it appears unlikely since his wife Elisabeth Martin was also buried at St-Pierre de Martinique 12 June 1791 [White, page 1139] , more than nine years after he was buried. There is a 36-37 year span between the marriage of this Pierre and the date you give for the marriage of Charles so it is possible that there could be a generation in between or possibly another Pierre descended from the other sons of Julien that is not included in the first part of the Dictionnaire. . Their son, Charles Lord, is listed as being from Port Royal, Acadie. He married in 1783 so I'm guessing Pierre and Marguerite married around 1760 and were born about 1735. Does anyone know if the Lord (Laur) family is from this area? > Thank you > Sue > Windsor, cT > > > ==== ACADIAN-CAJUN Mailing List ==== > The number one rule of this list is no flaming.
