    3. In September, as part of celebrations marking Canada 150, town Crier's from around the world will gather for a competition in the Annapolis Valley. As a town crier, I represent both Sidney, BC and Anacortes, WA. Our last round of cries is in front of the church at Grand Pré. The theme of the cry is the Annapolis Valley. As I have Acadian, Scottish, Mi'kmaq, and English roots, I will speak of the valley in the Mi'kmaq, French, Gaelic, and English languages. The valley has many names. They're all important to remember.
