    3. This is my line of descent. Ancestry.com ● Joseph Landry, Birth 1769 • L'Assomption, Quebec, Canada; Death 1849 • St Jacques, Montcalm, Quebec, Canada (wife, Madeleine Desmarais, 1771-1832) ● His daughter, Marie Celeste Landry, Birth 1791 • Saint-Jacques-de-Montcalm, Québec, Death Saint-Jacques, Quebec, Canada ● Her son, Firmin Guilde LaBine, Birth 20 Oct 1813 • St-Jacques-de-Montcalm, Montcalm, Death Unknown ● Firmin’s father was Firmin Guildry dit LaBine, Birth 4 Apr 1791 • St-Jacques-de-Montcalm, Montcalm, Quebec, Canada, Death Aug 12, 1832 • St-Jacques, Montcalm, Quebec, Canada ● Firmin Senior’s father was Joseph Augustin Guildry dit LaBine, Birth Unknown, Death 1836 ● Joseph Augustin’s father was Jean Baptiste Augustin Guildry dit LaBine dit Labrador who was deported but was one of the deportees who came back to settle in Quebec. Birth 1725, Death 2 Nov 1802 • St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, Montcalm, Quebec, Canada. (It goes back further.) My grandmother (Georgianna Anna "Georgina" Dupuis, Birth 13 Dec 1890, Renfrew, Ontario, Death 26 Feb 1972, Renfrew, Ontario)) told me that one of her ancestors was a voyageur. I think both Firmins were. Grandma's mother was Marie Labine (Firmin the younger and Cléophée Lajeunesse); and Grandma's father was Georges Phillip Dupuis, birth abt 1831, Quebec, Death, 2 May 1904, Renfrew, Ontario (where I grew up). http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~guidryrm/Guedry-Labine/ps12/ps12_112.htm http://fahfminn.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Voyageur-story.pdf Hope this helps.
