My Grandma didn't face rapant racism, as did MOST.OF.HER.RELATIVES. Acadian/Mi'kmaq on the West Coast of Newfoundland...just so some suit in Ottawa could run their mouth, and tell people to deny their ancestry...their BLOOD. I have been following this story very closely since it began, years ago, and find the attitude of the Canadian Govt, repulsive. Can you imagine, the same situation if all the Scottish descendants in Canada ( I have this too) wanted to join their family 'clan' and were then told, " No, go...so sorry". It's outrageous.
