    1. [ACADIAN] Let the Holidays begin.

    3. This is one of times in the year we put Genealogy on the back burner. It is always welcome but we share our culture, traditions, family histories & stories. An important part of this is our foodways. Has your family "lost" one or more of MeMa recipies? Please share your name for it and a description in case it has a different name in another of our homelands. Not just limited to recipes for the way we cooked en Acadie but ones we have developed as we have spread out. If you have a favorite recipe you think cousins might enjoy please share. Because we cook "by feel" we might share something from the web and tell us how you make it yours. We try and include one recipe from a different homeland on our holiday table. We can then tell the family about your cousin there. Aline in Moncton makes the best Chicken & Sausage Gumbo in that region. Please include the word Recipe or Tradition in the subject so everyone knows. Please share you family stories and traditions for cousins whose family has lost theirs. Try to get it all in by Sunday the 30th, but, I promise to not slap your wrist if we run a few days over. Our Next exchange period starts before Christmas and runs through King's Day.
