    3. I have a cast iron 5 quart pot that I use on my glass cook top for 45 years and have never had any problems. When I am through cooking I let it cool then I clean it with SALT AND RINSE WITH WARM WATER. I Finish it off cleaning it AND drying it then applying some PAM COOKING SPRAY – IT DOES A GREAT JOB FOR ME. THIS POT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY AN OLD LADY FROM ACROSS THE STREET WHEN WE MOVED IN TO OUR NEW HOUSE 45 YEARS AGO. SHE WOULD ALWAYS TELL ME MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT LIKE I TOLD YOU AND NEVER--NEVER USE SOAP TO CLEAN IT. SHE WOULD JOKINGLY TELL ME IF I EVERY HAD ANY LEFTOVERS TO GET OUR SONS TO CROSS THE STREET AND BRING HER SOME. SHE GOT LOTS OF LEFTOVERS THROUGH THE YEARS.
