Two weeks before Christmas!!! Let our Break Begin. From now until Kings Day we put our emphasis on our common culture. Recipe exchange - Do you have a favorite recipe that your cousins might enjoy? We try and include at least one dish from our other homelands on our holiday table. It usually starts a discussion of our culture. Warning, once people find out you have Cajun Cousins all you ever get request for Gumbo & Jambalaya for pot lucks. Are you missing a Mema recipe? Something you really miss? Give us your name for it and a description in case others have a different name. For Thanksgiving in the states we looked for meat pie recipes. Anyone got some different ones? We snuck in a Cast-Iron Pot discussion and where cousins from Mass., Ill., LA, & Tx paticapated. Think, could you have the same discussion with your neighbors?
