Please plan to be there by 10:00 a.m. for a guided tour of the memorial and the nearby historic St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church by historian extraordinaire James Akers. You’re in for a real treat; James is one of the most knowledgeable historians when it comes to local history of St. Martinville, especially of the church and cemetery.
