The regular genealogy workshop will be Wednesday, 1 April 2015, at 10:00 a.m. upstairs at the Acadian Memorial. We will have a DVD lecture by Dr. John Philip Colletta on "How to Build Historical Context" when writing your family story.   A perfect example of which is his excellent book Only a Few Bones - A True Account of the Rolling Fork Tragedy and Its Aftermath - on which there will be a brief review. Also,  Genealogy Day at the Acadian Memorial  is  Wednesday, 29 April 2015 - this time by another very special guest, the author, genealogist and DNA expert Marie Rundquist of Washington D. C.   This is a unique opportunity to hear about this exciting but still mysterious technology from someone who has many success stories to tell.
