LES GUÉDRY ET PETITPAS D’ASTEUR 2015 REUNION SAVETHE DATE Saturday,10 October 2015 (9:00 am until 5:00 pm) HenryGuidry Memorial Park (130 Park Drive) Henderson,Louisiana Ourupcoming Guédry & Petitpas Reunion will be at the large, coveredpavilion at Henry Guidry Memorial Park in Henderson, Louisiana onSaturday, 10 October 2015. Thisis in the heart of Guédry country in southwest Louisiana. Ofcourse, the spellings you’ll encounter in the area are Guidry,Guedry and Gaidry so be prepared to meet your many cousins. You mayeven find a local Petitpas cousin or two although they are not asnumerous in south Louisiana. We are almost complete with thearrangements for the Reunion. We have reserved the large, coveredpavilion and associated snackbar and restrooms at the Park. ThisReunion will be a bit different than some of our recent reunions. Itwill be outdoors along the edge of the Atchafalaya Swamp and in arelaxed setting with lots of time to mingle, meet everyone andexchange family history, stories, past vacations, etc.. A couple ofplanned activities that we’ll have are the local Cajun band “ChèreMom” featuring Christine Guidry Law and her family, induction ofsome special folks into the Les Guédry et Petitpas d’Asteur Circleof Distinction and an authentic Cajun meal at noon prepared by asuperb chef. The Reunion will be free to all(although we may have to charge a small fee for the optional noonmeal). Octoberis a wonderful time in Louisiana with cooling temperatures, mildweather patterns and has the least rain of any month.
