I'm looking for any information on Susanne Vincent, wife of Joseph Wyble of Alsace-Lorraine (later of Opelousas, LA). Joseph and Susanne lived for a time in Fredericktown, Frederick County, Maryland, where they had four children (dates are approximate): Joseph b. 1757 m. Celeste Gaunard Michel b. 1761 m. (1) Juliana Marcantel, (2) Julie Roy Mariana b. 1764 m. Michel Bordelon Jean b. 1765 m. Victoire Marchand All four children ended up in the Opelousas area, and I have a lot of documentation on the children and their descendants. Unfortunately, Susanne has been impossible (thus far) to find. I have that she died ca. 1798, but no real documentation on that, either. Joseph Wyble d. 12 Oct 1793. As Vincent is an Acadian surname, I have often wondered if she fit in with the Acadian Vincent family, but I've never been able to make a connection. Can anyone help? cheers, Gordon
