He was in the military & received a purple heart. It's still in my mothers china cabinet. I'm not sure if he received any other awards. He lost his hearing in the war & I know was shot numerous times. He lost his sight some years later when I was a young girl. His last few years I spent taking care of him as a young girl. ---Kristen Clark --- On Tue, 8/10/10, Paul L LeBlanc <pleblan@aim.com> wrote: From: Paul L LeBlanc <pleblan@aim.com> Subject: Re: [ACADIAN] Bourg Helen m Lawrence Daigle Lafourche LA To: acadian@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, August 10, 2010, 6:39 PM Something to get us started. Helen's parents were John Bourg & Valerie/Aurore Hebert. Helen had many siblings and their family carried the disease, Osteogenesis Imperfecta. We are first interested in Valerie Hebert parents & will come back & work the Bourg & other lines. .Paul Le B l'Ascension Louisiane ------------------------------- To check our Archive http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/acadian/ ------------------------------- To subscribe to the list, please send an email to ACADIAN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'subscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message.
