Hi all, Does anyone have documentation on the parents of the Elvire Lancon in the following record: Doiron, Clopha or Cleophas m. 17 Feb 1870 Elvire Lancon (Houma Ct House:Mar. v. 9, # 54) I've seen online databases which place her as Marie Elvine Melancon: MELANCON, Marie Elvine (Victor & Faralie SAVOIE) b. 19 Jan 1853 (Lockport Ch.: v. 1 # 107) But I have my doubts. Melancon and Lancon were, as I'm sure you all know, two different surnames -- Melancon was Acadian, Lancon originally from Malta. Is there an Elvire Lancon who might be the correct spouse for Cleophas Doiron? thanks, Gordon
