Marsha, There is a submission at FamilySearch 's IGI which gives Jean Baptiste Adolph Danion's birth as 20 Aug 1819 in Plattenville, Assumption Parish & his parents as Vincent Danion & Victorine Dugas. There is a community in SW La. called "Pine Island" (NW of Jennings), not that it makes sense for a family in Assumption Parish to be from there, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
