They are the parents of Louis Terville Sonnier who married Amelia Stevens [SWLR Vol. 6, (NI Ch Vol. 1, Page 192) Marriage - Louis Terville Sonnier & Amelia Stevens]. I have the Stevens line but can't connect the Sonnier/Saucier line. Some believe that Jean Baptiste Sonnier's parents are Jean Baptiste Sonnier Sr. & Marie Roy and that Marie Adeline Saucier's parents are Louis Gustav Saucier & Marie Azelie Deroucher. I just can't find any sources to support these relationships. Any help appreciated. Gary D

Hi folks, The only problem with this is that Jean Baptiste Sonnier, son of Jean Sonnier and Marie Roy, was born in 1776: SONNIER, Jean Baptiste (Jean Baptiste and Marie ROY) bt. 25 Aug 1776, bn. not given, spo. Andre Bourgois and Marguerit Bourgois (SJA-1, 31a) I can buy that this is the same person who married Felicite Saucier, but it's harder to see how he could have married Adeline Saucier; the youngest child of Jean Baptiste Sonnier and Adeline Saucier, Joseph, was born in 1862, at which time the above Jean Baptiste Sonnier would have been 86 years old. Even the oldest child of Jean Baptiste and Adeline, Louis Terville, has to have been born in 1836 or so, at which time the first Jean Baptiste would have been 60. Not unheard of, but fairly unusual in and of itself. In my opinion, there's no proof that the Jean Baptiste Sonnier who married Felicite Saucier and fathered Jean in 1828 is the same Jean Baptiste who married Adeline Saucer and had children starting in 1840 or so, and in fact the dates argue against it. Anyone disagree?
