Jean Gousman was married to (1st ) Marie Barillot and (2nd) to Marie Rose Bonneve. No children from Marie Barillot but several from Rose Bonnevie. After arriving in Louisiana 1785 and after the death of Rose in 1791 in St. Bernard it appears he married 3rd to Maria Brigitte Trahan (daughter of Charles Trahan & Brigitte Landry). Although no marriage record can be found. There is a Civil Record in which her Power of Attorney was filed in 1801 by Widow Gusman, Brigitte Trahan of St. Bernard to her son in law, Rene Leroux.
