    1. Re: [ACADIAN] Winchesters on the Acadian Coast of Louisiane
    2. Thanks C, Karen & Rita I could not find Benjamin's marriage in DOBR. I assume it was a courthouse/judge civil marriage. So the wives were cousins, when I hear back from the family I will ask what they have. 1st marriage of Benjamine??? On the next page (v 4 p 556) is the baptisimal (20 years in 1827) & marriage pf Elizabeth WITHERS to Edouard Duplesses. She is listed as the daughter of Benjamin & Nancy Robinson of Kentucky. Witnesses included Celeste Landry & Transimon Landry. In one record Benjamin is reported as deceased I wonder if it should have been Nancy? Rita - Ask your Winchester neighbors if they are from St-James & Lafourche parishes? If they are, tell them I can put them in touch with the family that went back to Kentucky. Paul Le B l'Ascension Louisiane -----Original Message----- From: Cecil Van Duzee Paul Carmelite Constant was also a granddaughter of Joseph dit Bellehomme Landry and Anne Bujol. Benjamin WINCHESTER, Judge of Second Judicial District, executed a marriage contract before Judge Philip Carlier D'OUTREMER on 10 Jul 1821 with Carmelite CONSTANT, daughter of Auguste CONSTANT & Carmelite LANDRY (U-3). It appears that they were married by Father VALEZANO in 1820 (W2-264). But I don't know how Benjamin and William might be related. Karen
