    1. Re: [ACADIAN] Lilly BERGERON parents
    2. Paul & Nat, Thanks for all the suggestions. My latest problem is with the record Nat cites as "Lily Marie Bergeron, d/o Felicien Bergeron & Marguerite Delaune, bn 1 Mar 1886 in Abbeville." What is actually found in Hebert's Southwest Louisiana Records CD is this: BERGERON, Marie Lily (Felicien & Marguerite DELAUNE) b. 29 Feb. 1886 (Abbeville Ch.: v. 5, p. 157) However, there WAS no Feb 29th in 1886, which I guess would make 1 Mar a good guess. But there is worse! It is also unlikely that this girl was born just 8 months after her sister Marie Anette, born [baptized?] 21 Jul 1885. The SWLR-CD reads: BERGERON, Marie Anette (Felicien & Marguerite DELAUNE) b. 21 July 1885 (Abbeville Ch.: v. 5, p. 99) Should Lily's birth year be 1887? But even more! There is another daughter born in this family in 1892. Paul first found it in vol. 19 of the Baton Rouge Diocese, CCR, p. 61: Marguerite Lila BERGERON, born 5 Feb 1892, baptized 18 Feb 1892, daughter of Felicien L. BERGERON & Marguerite DELAUNE, both residents of Canal at Attakapas. Sponsors: Alcee D. VIGREUX & Alcidie BERGERON. Recorded at St. Anne Catholic Church, Napoleonville, Louisiana (SAN-2, 17). Does the first Lily seem to be the better candidate? It would better fit her age of 36 (as Paul reads it) on the 1920 census. I am confused. Karen
