    2. Kinta passed a few days ago. We got the note below from her child. Her obit text follows that http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailypress/obituary.aspx?n=kinta-delamain&pid=142741478 She especially enjoyed our holiday recipe exchange and other culture items. We never got her "Tar Heel" gumbo recipe. I do not have the start of her tree. If you have it please share with me so we can do her "Memorial Tree". Kinta was born in Bogalusa, La., on Oct. 4, 1932. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 56 years, Jack Delamain. Their military travels all over the world provided them with many unique and exciting years. Kinta also had a very successful Real Estate career in the Tidewater Area for more than 14 years. She retired to the Outer Banks where she has lived for the last 17 years. In her retirement years Kinta was an active genealogist and traced her ancestors to the Magna Charta and Mayflower. Her genealogy friends spanned the globe. Kinta will best be remembered for the love she had for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very involved in their lives; sometimes more involved than was necessary. Her strong will was always full of good intentions. She is survived by three children, Marie Davis and her husband, David of Stafford, Va., Bill Delamain of Eden, N.C., Renee Bevan and her husband, Herb from Smithfield, Va. She also leaves three grandchildren, Ashley, Christina and John; and two great-grandchildren, twins, Collin and Chris; and her devoted and loving dog, Molly. Her funeral mass and burial will be held at USMA West Point, in Highland Falls, N.Y. on May 26. She will be buried next to her infant son, Frederic John Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507.
