Does anyone have documentation of the parents of Azelina Guidry who m. Charles Oculi Guidry, son of Joseph and Marie Azelie (Comeaux) Guidry? Some have her as the child of Alexandre Lessin Guidry and Marie Carmelite Broussard, b. June 1825 in Lafayette, from the following record: GUIDRY, Zelima (Alexandre & Carmelite BROUSSARD) bt. 21 Feb. 1827 at age 20 mths. Spons: Sosthene GUIDRY & Azelie GUIDRY. Fr. Laurent PEYRETTI (Laf. Ch.: v.2, #327) However, I believe that this Zelima/Azelima/etc. is the one who married Jean Comeaux: GUIDRY, Azelima (Alexandre & d. Carmelite BROUSSARD) m. 20 Dec. 1855 Jean COMEAUX (Laf. Ch.: v. 4, p. 123) This makes it impossible for her to be the wife of Charles Oculi Guidry, as Jean Comeaux and Azelima Guidry were having children at the same time as Charles Oculi Guidry and HIS wife Azelina Guidry.
