    1. Re: [ACADIAN] Renato Leroux
    2. Marsha I believe Spanish Renato is the same as French Rene (or this is what the priest heard) Does anyone have the webpages of English/French/Spanish first names? Could we have any & all spelling of LeRoux you may have seen La & Le; Roux & Rue etc ADNO does less standization then the other church books. ADNO v 8 p 199 Larrue Francisco, native of the town of Nantes in France [dept of Loire-Atlantique] sp Rosalia Landry 44 yr i Mar 12, 1806 (SLC, F6, 92) Note Lerue spelling. Note different first name. Not passenger on 7 ships. Tomorrow will check Reider & Reider Crew & Passangers. I wonder if related to Lash Larue the b-movie bullwhip using cowboy from Gretna, LA. Paul Le B l'Ascension Louisiane -----Original Message----- From: Marsha Hi, Trying to tidy up my database... Need more information on Rene Leroux and his marriage to Rosalie Landry. Seems there was a question as to what his 1st name was. See Power of Atty below. Rosalie Landry bt. Dec. 25, 1777 Asc. Parish (d/o Etienne Landry & Marie Brigitte Trahan) m Rene Lerous before July 1801. Power of Atty: -- Widow Brigitte Trajan Gusman of St. Bernard grants her Power of Atty to her son-in-law , Renato LeRoux, on this day July 22, 1801. She is here in New Orleans this day.. When Rosalie Landry remarries to Berthelemy Martin in 1810, she is named as widow LeRoux. Thanks again, Marsha
