    2. Paul L LeBlanc
    3. Joseph threw his lot in with the Acadians in France. He was from Morbihan so he may have know the families on Belle-Isle. In 1784 at Nantes he marries Anne Aucoin (Pierre & Marguerite Dupuis) In 1786 at Ascension Church (Donaldsonville) we have the birth of their son also Joseph. Later that year at Assumption Church he remarries to Gretrude Michel. Do you know how they got to Louisiane? I cannot find Joseph in Hebert Acadian families.... or Reider & Reider Crew & Passangers... On La Ville d'Archangel are many of the Aucoins could Anne have been mistakenly listed as a daughter? There are a dozen men including two Aucoins who were not on the departure list but were issued equipment after arrivial. Joseph was a cobbler (shoemaker). I wonder if the Spanish were planning for him to stay in New Orleans? Any Ideas?
