Hi C. P and All, For a number of years I have been researching the "Gousman,Gusman, Guzman family who arrrived in Louisiana aboard the L'Amite in 1785. Many years ago I was referred to "Acadian Odyssey" by a genealogist/historian, who said "reference could be found of Rosalia Carlota Guzman's marriage there and she had married a member of the crew" Would someone be so kind as to help me either disprove or prove that statement. I only have a copy of page 202,203,204 and 205. They are named in Appendix "E". I assumed this genealogist knew of what they apoke. Now I dunno? The information I have that he was a crewman has been distributed by myself to several persons and if he WAS NOT a crewman, several persons will have to be contacted in order to correct it. The following statement was in an email to the list a short time ago. Thought the additional information below may help locate something of help. She did marry twice, the first marriage to Lefaibre was shortly after her arrival in New Orleans in 1785.. He was a crewman aboard the ship and "was admitted as an Acadian" If someone has access to Sacramental Records of this marriage it may be of help also. Thanks everybody, Marsha
