Parti de La Rochelle, via Paimboeuf le 20 août 1785. Arrivé en Louisiane le 8 novembre après 80 jours de mer. A son bord 78 familles soit 270 personnes 1, Jean GUSMAN, journalier - 50 ans, Rose BONNEVIE, sa femme - 42 ans, Leurs enfants : Jean Thomas - 2 ans, Rosalie Charlotte - 21 ans. Hello T, Thank you for the site of Daniel Burgot. I shall follow up on it for sure. Appreciate the information regarding the L'Amite amd the families aboard. It is impossible for me to imagine the feelings of the Acadians on these 7 ships. Sailing to a new and hopefully a better life in Louisiana, they must have been adventurers at heart.
