June Pontiff LeBlanc June 9, 1961 - September 18, 2010 Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at a 10:AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Catholic Church in Judice for June Pontiff LeBlanc, 49, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Entombment will be in St. Basil Mausoleum. Reverend A. Rex Broussard, Jr., Pastor of St. Basil Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Chantelle Cormier and Christine Olivier. Giftbearers will be Luke Pontiff, Jr. and Rusty Pontiff. Survivors include her beloved husband, Dirk LeBlanc of Lafayette; one daughter, Brandi LeBlanc of Judice; one son, Andre Guidry, Jr. of Judice; her parents, Luke and Rita Moreau Pontiff, Sr.; three sisters, Christine Olivier and her husband, A.J. of Arnaudville, Doreen LeBlanc Hollier and her husband, Chris of Arnaudville and Chantelle Cormier and her husband, Keith of Youngsville; two brothers, Luke Pontiff, Jr. and his wife, Della of Leonville and Rusty Pontiff and his wife, Danielle of Arnaudville; and one grandchild, Madelyn Guidry. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Burt LeBlanc; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. A native of Arnaudville, Louisiana and resident of Judice for over 12 years, Mrs. LeBlanc was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed painting, sewing, had a quick wit, a good sense of humor and was a very intellectual person. Mrs. LeBlanc loved spending time with her family and visiting friends at their camp. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Brandon Olivier, Stefan LeBlanc, Stoney LeBlanc, Jai Benoit, Andre Guidry and Luke Pontiff, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Pontiff and Luke Pontiff II. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
