Lodoiska Romero was born 28 Aug 1836 south of New Iberia in what was then St. Mary Parish and was christened by the priest from St. Martinville. She was buried 5 Nov 1902 at St. Peter's Cemetery. Both were grandchildren of Antonio Romero of Malaga, Spain and Maria Teresa Basilia Seguro whose parents were from Malaga.....so they were first cousins.
