Does anyone know the parents of Eugenie Breaux in the following record? BREAUX, Eugenie m. 21 March 1845 Joassin PREVOST (Opel. Ct. Hse.: Mar. #218) She was Joachim Prevost's second wife -- the first was Zulma Laure Brasseaux (m. 28 Apr 1835 in Opelousas). Gordon, There is a baptismal record in Hebert's SWLR, Vol. 2B, Page 135 (GC Ch Vol. 1, Page 20) for a Eugenie BREAUX, born 16 Oct 1821; baptized 28 Oct 1821, which I believe lists her parents as Jean Baptiste BREAUX and Marie Madeleine GIROUARD. I do not have the exact wording because Eugenie is not a primary line that I follow. Hebert provides a marriage, Vol. 1A, Page 113 & 351 (SM Ch Vol. 4, No. 208), for Jean Baptiste & Marie Madeleine: "BREAUX, Jean Baptiste (Firmin BRO & Marguerite BRO - of Acadia) m. 19 Aug. 1800 Marie Magdeleine GIROUARD - of St. James Parish on the Mississippi (Firmin & Marguerite CORMIER - all Acadians) Wits: Firmin GIROUARD-- bride's father, Firmin BRO- groom's father, Pierre HARDY, Pierre GIROUARD, Pierre LANDRY. Fr. Michel Bernard BARRIERE." Jean & Marie had 11 children including Eugenie.
