Cecile Webre April 25, 1921 - September 19, 2010 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Cecile Webre, 89, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in St. Martinville. Reverend Monsignor J. Douglas Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Julie Langlinais and Barbara Langlinais. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "J'irai la voir un jour", "Precious Memories" and "The 23rd Psalm". Survivors include one daughter, Earline Langlinais and her husband, Alwood; one sister, Adele Bourque; four grandchildren, Celia Langlinais, Mark Langlinais and his wife, Barbara, Chris Langlinais and his wife, Julie and Jody Langlinais and his girlfriend, Katie Boone; seven great grandchildren, Paul LeBlanc, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Mark Langlinais Jr., Seth Broussard, Lauren Langlinais, Mary Beth Langlinais, Molli Langlinais and Christopher Langlinais, Jr.; and two great great grandchildren, Lainey LeBlanc and Logan Langlinais. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Marie Edeze Castille Landry; three sisters, Effie Ann Landry, Claudia Landry and Enola Royer; and three brothers, Jesnaire Landry, Earl Landry and August Landry. A native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and resident of Abbeville for three years, Mrs. Webre was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She worked as a dispatcher for the Lafayette City Cab Company. Mrs. Webre was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Community and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved reading, sewing, crafts, baking, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and being the caregiver of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be her family and friends. A Rosary will be prayed on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
