    1. Re: [ACADIAN] Poirier Abraham m before 1764 Anne Agnes Lanoue BRICKWALL
    2. Paul & Crew, Pierre Poirier was the son of Abraham Poirier & his 2nd wife Agnes Beliveau [not Lanoue]. Agnes had been married 1st to Honore Lanoue, hence the confusion. Abraham was the son of Michel (4) POIRIER & Madeleine BOURGEOIS (as child m, p. 1332 SAW's DGFA). Agnes was the daughter of Charles Belliveau dit Bideau, in SAW's DGFA p. 102, (BELLIVEAU 4). There she is shown as child m--Agnes, married 1st on 7 Feb 1737 to Honore LANOUE, 2nd on 7 Jan 1761 to Abraham POIRIER. Karen Theriot Reader

    2. Thanks C & Karen Their marriage was recorded at saint-andre-de-restigouche, Quebec. I wonder if the family was up there or the priest from there did a mission (Circut ride) down to Mirimachi area (NB). Any information if Pierre came with the three Broussard groups (from Halifax) or if he was one of the handful of young males who found their own way to Louisiane? I am going to check Drouin on Ancestry for their records. Anyone else wants them, ask off list.
