    3. C, Interesting. Thanks. Marsha I believe there was no formal ceremony. The marriage would have been recorded with the priest from St. Martinville on a visit to what is now Vermilion Parish. All the events Paul gave for this family took place in Vermilion Parish. Baptiste Broussard would have been brought to St. Martinville for internment --- the others to Lafayette. I cannot give any interpretation of the records in 1825. The documents would have to be viewed. I believe they still owned property at la Grande Pointe because they obviously were living at Vermilion (then in Lafayette Parish) and the succession was opened in St. Martin. My info. says they m ca. 1808 St. Martinville. and he is deceased before Aug. 15, 1825 in Lafayette. I don't have the source for his death. Wonder where I might have got that? Hate when I do that!!
