    3. Hi, Am trying to narrow the date of death of Marie Brigitte Trahan Marie "Brigitte" b ca. 1755, d/o Charles Trahan & Brigitte Landry. Am hoping someone has indicated when she is deceased. The last account/reference that I have of her is July 22, 1801. "On this date " Widow Gusman" Brigitte TraPan, of St. Bernard, is in New Orleans. She grants her Power of Atty. to her son-in-Law, Renato LeRoux. Brigitte does not sign. " (New Orleans Notarial Archives) She probably died in St. Bernard and we know it was after July 22, 1801. Brigitte m Etienne Landry (1) May 12, 1776 in Ascension, St. Martinville, Ch. Asc-1.33SMChurch (DOBR Vol.2,423 &551. Brigitte 2nd m Phillipe Bourier)Bourdier) July 9, 1787 at Ascension Church. She is named "Widow Landry in this marriage. Witnesses are Gregoire Leblanc & Pierre Landry. ASC2,8 Brigitte 3rd married? Jean Gusman/Guzman/Gousman (no marriage record found) and had a son in 1793, named Jean Gusman, (no bt. record found). She had 5 children with Etienne and one child with Phillippe, I believe. Her children with Etienne Landry are 1. Rosalie, b 177, m (1) Renato(Rene) before 1801 Leroux (2) Berthelemy Martin in 1810 She is named as Widow Leroux and her parents are not named. 2. Heloy (Eloy, b 1779, m Julienne Trahan, ca. 1805 3 Anne Madeline b 1782, m Francoise Guiterrez 1805 in Ascension Parish 4. Mathurin, b b 1784 Ascension Parish, died 1790 in St. Bernard 5. Marie Jeanne, b 1786 Ascension Parish, bt. Ascension Par. There may be a marriage but I have none listed. Her child from Phillipe Bourier are: 1. Joseph Raphael, b 1788, bt Oct. 17, 1788 ASC 5,20. m. ? Her child from Jean Gusman are: 1. Jean Gusman, b 1793? St. Bernard Parish? no records available. he m Annemaria Candelaria Veillon in 1817. I descend from her 3rd marriage to Jean Gusman. I have several documents of the children of Jean and Marie Veillon's but neither Brigitte or Jean are none of them indicate themto be s deceased. However, we know Jean Gusman died before July 22, 1801 because of Brigitte's Power of Atty. I hope this is enough information to give us a clue and narrow it down a little more. Thanks, Marsha
