I remember Gareau being one of those families. Recently I have been attaching the records when I can find them on Ancestry (I've been using PRDH for records older than 1800 -- it's a lot easier to search than Ancestry). Me to Memere (my great-grandma) is a no-brainer. Memere's father was Lucien BOUDREAU, his d.c. and baptismal record state his parents were Charles BOUDREAU & Marguerite StONGE. He was b. 1 Mar 1853 & baptized the same day at St-Cyprien in Napierville, Québec. I also found him in the U.S. Censuses in Kankakee County with his parents. Charles BOUDREAU & Marguerite StONGE's marriage record state that her parents were Joseph GAREAU-StONGE & Marguerite LANDRY. They were m. 13 Jan 1846 at St-Cyprien, Napierville, Québec. Marguerite StONGE was b. 16 Dec 1825 in L'Acadie, Québec & baptized at Ste-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie the same day.
