    2. I know of no mailing list to alert us to the publication of the DGFA-2. However, I have no doubt that you will hear a great deal on this list and others as soon as the possibility exists to order. If I remember correctly, last time (DGFA-1) there was a discount offered for pre-publication orders. Karen Theriot Reader

    3. Paul, What I have that may fit in with some of these Doster and Winchester families, that you sent, are the following, James Doster b.14 August 1735 Winchester,Frederick Co.Virginia died1818 Mecklenburg,North Carolina. married Lydia Springer 1764 Mecklenburg,North Carolina.died 1798 Children Sampson b.1765 Winchester,Virginia Thomas b.1769 Buford,Union,N.Carolina married Polly Sibley. James John b.1771 Mecklenburg ,North Carolina, Mary Sarah b.1776 Mecklenburg,North Carolina, married Solomon Everett. Rhoda b.1779 Union Co.North Carolina, married Titus Laney, Cloe b.1786 Buford,North Carolina married Solomon Simons, Alexander b.1787 Buford,North Carolina. Michael b.1788 Buford,North Carolina. Obediah b.1785 Buford,North Carolina Now there is another child Absolom b.1796 Buford,North Carolina As James Doster lost Lydia in 1798 and we know that he remarried to Sarah Winchester date unknown but there is Absolom b.1796 so presume that his mother is Sarah. And Obediah (2nd last son)married Leah Winchester so I am presuming that she was the daughter of Sarah Winchester, but I have no further information on Sarah at this stage.. What I need to do now,is to check to see if I have DNA matches. As the above family is supposed to be cousins. James Doster b.1735 son of Thomas Doster b.1696 Germany and Mariah and was a brother to my William Doster,(my 4th great grandfather.) It is hard as my grandfather Thomas J.Doster married Martha Doster dau of Samuel Doster, My great grandfather Henry Clay Doster married Rosella Doster dau of William Doster. It all needs sorting by DNA if possible,so I am still trying. What I have found on Gedmatch is that I have matches with the following families but do not know just where they belong in my family at the moment. * represents match. * Guillaume Blanchard b.1590 Loudon,Vienne,France d.1610Martaize,Loudon,Poitou-Vienne,France.married * Hugette Poirer b.1594 Martaize,Loudon,Franced.1615 St.Joseph,de la roque,Acadia *son Jean Baptiste Blanchard b.1611 France d.1686 Port Royal,Nova Scotia,Canada, married *Radengonge Lambert B.circ 1620 Loudon Vienne,Poitou-Charentes,France *son Guillaume Blanchard b.1650 Port Royal Acadia,Nova Scotia,Canada married *Huguette Gourgeon b.1657 Port Royal,Acadia,Canada, d.18 Dec 1717 Port Royal,Acadia,Nova Scotia,Canada I could not get the persons email address or name as my computer froze but from memory the name of the person was Jerrel Freeman or Jerry Freeman. This is all I have at the moment, and as I find out more, will send it on.I do know that I have Cyr surname as well, due to contact with a Richard Cyr. I am on a trail of new adventure in my tree, thank you, Pat Rodgers ,Western Australia(Pauline Parfitt biological name) ------ Original Message ------ From: "Paul L LeBlanc via ACADIAN" <acadian@rootsweb.com> To: acadian@rootsweb.com Cc: "Paul L LeBlanc" <pleblan@aim.com>; ol_man_emu@bigpond.com Sent: Wednesday, 7 Jun, 2017 At 1:13 PM Subject: Re: Jacques Le Blanc Cynthia's post went to all members Is this your father s/o Henry Grady & Rose Winchester Birth Date: 14 May 1916 Birth Place: Monroe, North Carolina, USA in the 1920 United States Federal Census Name: John Henry Doster Age: 3 Birth Year: abt 1917 [abt 1916] Birthplace: North Carolina Home in 1920: Monroe, Union, North Carolina Street: Franklin Street Race: White Gender: Male Relation to Head of House: Son Marital Status: Single Father's name: Grady Doster Father's Birthplace: North Carolina Mother's name: Rose Doster Mother's Birthplace: North Carolina Able to Speak English: Yes Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Grady Doster 29 Rose Doster 23 John Henry Doster 3 Eleanor Doster 2 Myrtle Winchester 20 Minnie Winchester 18 Bert Gillen 25 John Henry Doster in the U.S. WWII Draft Cards Young Men, 1940-1947 Name: John Henry Doster Race: White Birth Date: 14 May 1916 Birth Place: Monroe, North Carolina, USA Residence: Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA Registration Date: 16 Oct 1940 Occupation: W P Thorpe Airport Weight: 170 Complexion: Light Brown Eye Color: Gray Hair Color: Brown Height: 5 9 Next of Kin: Rosa Lee Doster Relationship: Mother Household Members: Name John Henry Doster John Henry Doster in the Virginia, Marriage Records, 1936-2014 Name: John Henry Doster Gender: Male Race: White Age: 21 Birth Date: abt 1917 Marriage Date: 15 Apr 1938 Marriage Place: Danville, Virginia, USA Registration Place: Danville, Virginia, USA Father: Henry G Doster Mother: Rosa Winchester Spouse: Clyda Gamble Spouse Gender: Female Spouse Race: White Spouse Age: 21 Spouse Father: Clyde W Gamble Spouse Mother: Emma Niven ============================================ John Henry Doster in the North Carolina, Death Certificates, 1909-1976 Name: John Henry Doster Gender: Male Spouse: Clyda Gamble Doster not sure what is up wife's Parents? 3. Yes CBC only have copyright to broadcast (/share) in Canada Their reply ================== Hello there, Thanks so much for writing in with your comments. We'd like to note that we have not cut off international users from getting CBC content across the board. You can listen to Radio One and Radio 2 streams in our player (the option to toggle regions is on the page). Additionally, you can find local news and national news programming Editorial content at cbc.ca (some video excluded, depending on broadcast rights) is open to international viewers as well. ... Most of our factual and scripted programming is not available outside of Canada. We are a Canadian public broadcaster, and as such our first obligation is to Canadians. This means we do have rights to air music cues and other content to a Canadian audience, but we don't have international rights to all media that appears in our programming. -----Original Message----- From: John Estano deRoche I think I misunderstood something. 3. Quite a lot of Acadians, by the time of the Expulsion, had descended from men (and/or women) who moved from the Canada colony (now Quebec province) to Acadie. I'm an Acadian descendant of one such man, who came here to Acadie as a privateer, working out of Port Royal, and married into the Acadian community: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Guion_Guyon-3. So, I think it's pretty likely that some Filles du Roy have descendants in Cajun country. -----Original Message----- From: ACADIAN [mailto:acadian-bounces+jderoche=eastlink.ca@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Coûture via ACADIAN Sent: Friday, June 9, 2017 1:30 PM To: acadian@rootsweb.com Cc: Coûture <ncouture@aol.com>; melissajlaforge@gmail.com Subject: Re: Most French Canadians are descended from these 800 women You're right!
