I know of no mailing list to alert us to the publication of the DGFA-2. However, I have no doubt that you will hear a great deal on this list and others as soon as the possibility exists to order. I received this email from a Richard Sire/Cyr, Our common ancestor is Pierre Sire Cyr b.1644 dau Marie married of Jacques Bourgeois. Richard is through Pierre Sire/Cyr son Jean Baptiste So I have this to start me off now. This is great news. Quite a lot of Acadians, by the time of the Expulsion, had descended from men (and/or women) who moved from the Canada colony (now Quebec province) to Acadie. I'm an Acadian descendant of one such man, who came here to Acadie as a privateer, working out of Port Royal, and married into the Acadian community: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Guion_Guyon-3.
