Lota M. Picard May 10, 1918 - August 11, 2010 A Communion Service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, for Mrs. Lota M. Picard, age 92, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 6:00 AM at Camelot of Broussard. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton. Deacon Cody Miller, with St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the services. The St. Joseph Church Choir will sing, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman". Survivors include her two sons, James Picard and his wife, Donna Guillot Picard and Michael Picard and his friend, Marlene Dauterive; five grandchildren, Christopher Picard, Delisa Brown, Jesse Picard, Rocky Picard and Casey Picard; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Elmo Picard; her parents, Manuel Roy and the former Louise Menard; three sisters and five brothers. Born on May 10, 1918, Mrs. Picard was a native of Rayne, Louisiana and a resident of Milton for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Picard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be James Picard, Michael Picard, Chris Picard, Rocky Picard, Jesse Picard and Casey Picard.
