    3. Thanks, Paul. The following obit rules out the last one (Evans J. Blanchard): GLASS Daisy Clara Blanchard Glass left us on the morning of June 20th 2010 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Daisy enjoyed gardening, tending to her greenhouse, and traveling. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Westwego and loved and cherished her church family. Most of all, she loved and was extremely proud of her three daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her gracious heart and unwavering faith. She is survived by her children, Linda Glass Hudson and husband Ron of Terrytown, LA; Shirley Glass Ritchie and husband Harry of Westwego, LA; and Joyce Glass Lewis and husband Carl of Pensacola, Florida. Grandchildren: David Ritchie, Laura Gandolfo, Paul Hudson, Christy Allen, Danielle Morrison, Kellan Lewis, and Joshua Lewis. Great grandmother of Tyler, Zachery, Peyton, and Bailey Ritchie, Alexandra and Isabelle Hudson, Mackenzie and Madison Gandolfo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Edward Glass; parents, Evans J. Blanchard and Theresa Theriot Blanchard; Grandson, Jay Michael Lewis; Brothers and sisters: Oris Dupre, Morris Blanchard, Ferman Blanchard, Mazel Blanchard, Lloyd Blanchard, Mary Ann Matherne, Eloise Theriot, Iola (Patsy) Shea, Ella Mae Moritz, Daniel Blanchard, Lydia "Toot" Ruth Blanchard Daigle, and Ulysse Blanchard, and E.J. Blanchard. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment Masonic Cemetery, 400 City Park Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. For further funeral information or directions, please call Mothe Funeral Home at 504.366.4343. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.nola.com/ obituaries/t-p. This Ella Mae Blanchard married a Moritz, and I know my aunt only married once (to Raymond Bonnet). Still trying to find out more about the middle one. The top one (the one you think most likely) I have placed, and actually Harbert (Herbert) is a cousin of my mom's through the Olivier/Exnicios line. cheers, g On Aug 23, 2010, at 11:23 AM, Paul L LeBlanc wrote: > G > > Her SS death record at end. 3. Fredericktown In the southern part of Cecil County is Fredericktown, where George Washington stopped several times [according to "Routes Traveled by George Washington in Maryland," a map prepared for the Maryland Commission for the celebration of the 2ooth anniversary of the birth of George Washington, 1732-1932]. It was formerly called Pennington's Point or Happy Harbor, and was laid out in December 1736 by William Rumsey, a well known surveyor of the time. Fredericktown was a residence for some of the Acadians, or French Neutrals, who were exiled in 1765. Fort Duffy was erected at Fredericktown as one of the defenses of Cecil County during the War of 1812. Colonel Thomas Ward Veazey, afterwards Governor of Maryland, commanded this fort and his men attempted to repulse the British who, on May 6, 1813, came up the Sassafras River in fifteen large barges and three small boats and burned Fredericktown and Georgetown.
