She did marry twice, the first marriage to Lefaibre was shortly after her arrival in New Orleans in 1785.. He was a crewman aboard the ship and "was admitted as an Acadian" From the info. you sent Kathy, only 1 of her children, of the 3, that we know of survived. I had no knowledge of the first child "Simon Clod" Defeuvre who died in 1789. The fact he is interred in St. Bernard is very informative as that is where her parents settled. Can someone confirm that Leocadie LeBlanc (William & Marie Louise Mercier) was born Sept 7 1893 in Nashua, NH. She married Edmond Caissy in St Omer, Quebec on 16 Jan 1914 so she came back to Canada. Thanks JC LeBlanc

When researching Lefebvre also look for the names Decato/Decoteau/Descoteaux... A dit name. Stephen Decato has a rather extensive file of Lefebvre and dit names. Hse.: Mar. v. 4, # 8) [no parents listed for groom] The only Ulger GUIDRY I have was born 26 Mar 1811, baptized 30 Oct 1813 at Assumption Catholic Church, Plattenville, LA, son of Olivier GUEDRY & Henriette BERGERON (ASM-6, 308).
