    3. Don, Judy, & all... Thanks for the records identifying Anna (Paris) Boudreaux's parents as Felix Paris and Lavinia Mollere. I'm coming up with nothing on Felix Paris -- but Lavinia Mollere may be a possibility. I found an online reference to a Joseph Mollere (no parents listed) who married Anaise Dugas (Jean Achille Dugas/ Marie Faralie LeBlanc) in Plattenville on 14 Apr 1856. They are listed with a daughter, "Lessina Mollere," born 17 May 1857. From the census, I find that Felix Paris' wife, Lavinia Mollere, was born ca. 1857. I suspect that these two women are one and the same, but no proof yet. I also suspect that the Joseph Mollere of the above record is the Joseph Mollere b. 3 Aug 1833 in Plattenville: MOLLERE, Joseph (Gerome & Emelie LEBLANC) bn. 3 Aug 1833, bt. 8 Feb. 1833, spo. Surville Mollere and Marie Capdeveille (ASM-8, 424) "Emelie" LeBlanc was actually Augustine Marcelie LeBlanc, d/o Joseph Ursin LeBlanc and Marie Rose Landry. Can anyone find any support for these conjectures? I've about exhausted the sources I have access to. thanks, Gordon

    3. Thanks to Kathy, Terri & Alan, Good suggestions. I'm attempting to trace any descendants of Rosalia Carlota Gusman(Gusman, Gousman) With not much success. She did marry twice, the first marriage to Lefaibre was shortly after her arrival in New Orleans in 1785.. He was a crewman aboard the ship and "was admitted as an Acadian" From the info. you sent Kathy, only 1 of her children, of the 3, that we know of survived. I had no knowledge of the first child "Simon Clod" Defeuvre who died in 1789. The fact he is interred in St. Bernard is very informative as that is where her parents settled. Thanks again everyone, Marsha ----- Original Message ----- From: KATheriot@aol.com To: acadian@rootsweb.com Cc: marshaladner@att.net Sent: Wednesday, September 01, 2010 10:19 AM Subject: Re: possible name changes Marsha wrote: I am researching two people from c. 1800 Louisiana. Rosalie Charlotte GUZMAN was an Acadian immigrant at age 21, aboard L'Amitie in 1785 with her father Jean, mother Marie Rosalie BONNEVIE, and baby brother. 3. When researching Lefebvre also look for the names Decato/Decoteau/Descoteaux... A dit name. Stephen Decato has a rather extensive file of Lefebvre and dit names. His website is http://www.decato.net/swdecato.html Message: 4 Date: Tue, 31 Aug 2010 18:41:16 -0500 From: "mladner" <marshaladner@att.net> Subject: Re: [ACADIAN] possible name changes To: <acadian@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <BABE3B3556C9453798B59FF9DC552A16@marsha3d5da47e> Content-Type: text/plain;    charset="iso-8859-1" I am  researching two people from c. 1800 Louisiana.  I think the names have been Americanized or something.  The names are as follows:           DETRESSE, Evan    (possibly DUTRESSE?)             LEFAIBRE, Claudio Epiphanio        "possibly DeFeuvre"?       Any ideas as to how they may have changed?           Thanks, Marsha ------------------------------- To check our Archive http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/acadian/ ------------------------------- To subscribe to the list, please send an email to ACADIAN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'subscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message. LEFAIBRE, Claudio Epiphanio "possibly DeFeuvre"? Rosalie Charlotte GUZMAN was an Acadian immigrant at age 21, aboard L'Amitie in 1785 with her father Jean, mother Marie Rosalie BONNEVIE, and baby brother. She must have married soon after arrival since there is a son buried on 4 Dec 1789 in St. Bernard Parish, LA. New Orleans Archives, Sacramental Records, vol. 4, 1784-1790, p. 319: Simon Glod [WEBER, sic] son of Clod Epifan DE FEBRE & Rosalia Carlota GUZMAN, infant (SBSB, F1, 7). Another son was born, baptized at New Orleans (NOSR, vol. 5, p. 104): Carlos [DE FEUVRE], son of Lodio Epiphanio, native of Caillouelle in Picardy [Caillouel-Crepigny, dept. of Aisne], & Rosalia Carlota GUZMAN, of Canada, of San Pedro de Mi[cl]on [St. Pierre-et-Miquelon], born 21 Aug 1791, baptized 26 Aug 1791. Sponsors: Carlos ZISETE, of Rosel in France, & Maria DE VERCHERON, of Canada. Grandparents were named: paternal, Lodio DE FEUVRE & Mariana TUILLIE of Caillouelle; maternal, Juan GUZMAN, of Seville, & Rose BO[N/R]VILLE, of Canada (SLC, B11, 156). It looks like Rosalie married again and had another child. There is an Evan Clement DETRESSE born 17 Jan 1796, baptized at New Orleans on 20 Apr 1797, son of Evan Juan DETRESSE , native of New York, & Rosalia Carlota GUZMAN, of Alifax [Halifax, Nova Scotia]. Marginal note in NO register : died 27 May 1833 (SLC, B14, 30). Maternal grandparents were named: Juan GUZMAN & Rosa BONNEVIE. Sponsors were Clemente LA BARRE & Luisa RAPIEO (Sacramental Records, vol. 6, 1796-1799, p. 92). Karen Theriot Reader

    2. Gordon, Does anyone know the parents of the Ulgere Guidry in the following record...? BOUDREAUX, Pauline (d. Dominique & d. Rosalie OLIVIER) m. 5 Feb. 1844, Ulger GUEDRY (Thib Ct . Hse.: Mar. v. 4, # 8) [no parents listed for groom] The only Ulger GUIDRY I have was born 26 Mar 1811, baptized 30 Oct 1813 at Assumption Catholic Church, Plattenville, LA, son of Olivier GUEDRY & Henriette BERGERON (ASM-6, 308). From Baton Rouge Diocese, Catholic Church Records, vol. 3, p. 388. He married 1st on 14 Apr 1834 at Lafourche Courthouse, Thibodaux, LA to Cesaire SAVOIE. He seems to fit. Karen Theriot Reader
