Wikitree operates in a special way. Lots of people do (or can) contribute information on any one given ancestor. The aim is to develop & maintain only one profile for each individual ancestor. When duplicates appear, members try to "merge" the profiles of a person. The info is not always correct, but again, various members weigh in on that info, and can make changes & post comments & questions. There is a team of dedicated volunteers who have special control as uber-managers. It is a truly collaborative site. And free of charge. - John Estano deRoche...Nova Scotia.
