This is a brief note of thanks to all the family historians who, earlier this year, provided feedback on their experiences while doing research in North East Scotland. My dissertation is now complete and the results of the survey will inform and guide the development of Aberdeen & North East Scotland Ancestral Tourism Partnership, a collaborative initiative by regional organisations holding genealogical records (including ANESFHS, local archives, registrars, et al.). Plans are already in hand for Homecoming Scotland 2014 and details will be available at http://www.northeastscotlandroots.com.
