Goldi, can I suggest, if no other home can be found, to donate the Bible to the John Gray Centre in Haddington. (see www.eastlothian.gov.uk/news/article/1059/haddington_library_reopens and www.johngraycentre.org) They have an excellent genealogy section as well as highest-standard archives - I went there in March this year chasing my Haddington PRESTON family and was impressed - the family history facilities are miles ahead of their old place that was round the back of Tescos. Tranent is only a couple of miles away and I'm sure is in their catchment area. Howard Geddes
