I have had trouble finding the marriage notice for John Glennie & Jane Mennie, whose first child (William Glenny/Glennie) was born in 1794 in Peterculter, Scotland. Maybe they never married, but they did have two more (at least) children, Mary born 1802 and Alexander born 1797. I have checked all over the place, including Scotlandspeople, Family Search/Ancestry.
