It's quite possible that their marriage falls into one of the 'black holes' which exist in the Kirk's OPRs not all of which were handed over to Edinburgh in 1855/6; either because the Kirk Session said they were 'their's' and not the Government's or because they just hadn't been (fully) maintained, by the Session Clerk, or had been lost.
