Many thank everyone for your input re the badges. It is a very old photo and in bad condition I don't think it is the Scottish Women's Rural Institute badge as their is no indentation on the heart shape. The heart is actually solid. Possibly a variation or as Jim suggested a luckenbooth. I did Google it but once again none of then are solid. Definitely not the badge for the Order of the Eastern Star.
