Marriages 1873 WILSON-TAIT Dec 8th at Rangoon, by the Rev J.K. Bain, Mr R.S. Wilson to Agnes, eldest daughter of the late Captain Taitt, Scotland. Hope this is of some use re your BAIN name Cam. Grandfather's sister Jane Rae, Married to William Knowles Lyon, cabinet maker,died (according to family records , died 27 October 1862 at "Pischurr', East Indies (India?) 27 October 1862". Lyon was born Peterhead, Aberdeen shire most likely Church of Scotland. Any Info gratefully received. I have a Christian RAE b 6 October 1816, Benholm to Joseph RAE and Jane WATT. Jane WATT was apparently born on 28 July 1781 and married on 17 December 1815. There were 3 other children of the marriage, one of whom, James b 29 July 1818 married on 5 January 1842 to Catherine ROSS. There were 7 children of their marriage, one namely Jessie or Janet RAE b 20 December , Udny, who married Robert SHERRATT on 17 November 1875 and lived at Bonaccord Terrace Aberdeen all their married lives. If any of this information is familiar I would be interested to hear from you.
