Hi, Laura, I saw your post on aberdeen-request@rootsweb.com re: the Kerrs of Lonmay, Aberdeenshire, Scotland! My ancestors Kerr were from Lonmay! My American progenitor grandfather Kerr -- Robert Kerr -- was born in Lonmay on 10 Dec 1726 to Gustavus & Janet (Allen) Kerr. He emigrated to Pennsylvania from Scotland where he married Elizabeth Bailey. They later moved to Augusta County, Virginia, where Robert died on 22 Jan 1808.
