Hello The following may be of assistance: Willliam FINNIE was b.c. 1839 New Deer the son of George FINNIE & Barbara LEGG.  William married Eliza(beth) ELLIS, b. 22 December 1839, Logie Buchan, the daughter of Duncan ELLIS and Isabella GRAY, on 9 June 1860 at Logie Buchan.  William died 3 June 1918 and Eliza(beth) died 18 August 1910 and they are both interred within Fintray Churchyard - In loving memory of William FINNIE who died at Greencairns, Fintray, June 3, 1918, aged 79 years.  And of his wife Elizabeth ELLIS who died August 18, 1910 aged 68 years.  Also their daughter Isabella who died at Bankhead, Kinmuck, Keithhall on the 15 Feb. 1931 aged 64 years. George Finnie married Barbara LEGG 28 April 1828, Pitsligo.  George was b.c. 1793, New Deer, the son of Thomas FINNIE & Isabella CRICHTON, & Barbara was b.c. 1796, Gamrie, Banffshire, the daughter of William LEGG & Elizabeth LEDINGHAM.  Barbara LEGG was married previously to James LYON 9 December 1822, Pitsligo.  George Finnie d. 10 May 1867, New Deer & Barbara d. 14 April 1879, Gamrie, and they had at least six children: Isabel Finnie, b.c. 1828, New Deer - married William KING 26 November 1848, New Deer. He was born 1860,Logie Buchan to a William Finnie and Eliza Ellis, he was the 1881 census living at old deer as a servant this is when my Great Granny was born, he went on to marry a Jane Smith in 1893 at Glenlivet, Banff, William died 1939 Aberdeen. William and Jane had 3 children Alexander b. abt 1896 Elizabeth b.abt 1897 William b.abt 1899. hope some one can help . Thank You Karen
