As you can see from consulting: http://www.abdnet.co.uk/burialgrounds/ burial records start in 1877 and are held by the Aberdeenshire Council Registrars. But as the 'quoad sacra' Parish of Savoch was carved out of the older parishes of Old Deer, New Deer, Ellon, Methlick and Tarves, anyone who died there might well have family links to (and even a family lair in) any of the burial grounds in these parishes. You will find additional information on each of these at the above website. Incidentally, I have no record of a burial ground in Maud. Have I missed something? Gavin Bell
