I am seeking any information about a John PATERSON, born Bannockburn abt 1854 He married Wilhelmina STEVENSON , daughter of Duff ALLARDYCE & John STEVENSON, a Sgt in the Royal Artillery and granddaughter of the Rev. William ALLARDYCE Minster of Rhynie & Essie at the Lemon Tree Hotel, Huntly in 1881. John is shown as a carpet manufacturer in his wedding registration. Their first child, John William Allardyce PATERSON was born 1881 at Shaw Villa, Bridge of Allan. He married Catherine CALDER in Elgin in 1912 and later became the manager of the Huntly and later Keith cinemas and was known as "Palace Jack". He died at his home in Land Street, Keith in 1970. John, the father, moved with his family to St Machar, Aberdeen where he was recorded in the 1901 census at Hardgate, Ferryhill as a music teacher. He died at Causewayend, Aberdeen in 1910 and his occupation is given as professional musician Another son Fleetwood PATERSON was born 1884 at St Ninian's, Stirling. He married Anna Gray GORMAN at the Bellslea Hotel, Fraserburgh in 1912 and worked as photographer both in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen until his death in 1946 at St Peters Street, Aberdeen.
